Dr. Orly Vardeny is Associate Professor of Pharmacy and Medicine at the University of Minnesota with a specialty in heart failure and cardiovascular disease. Her work on immune response to influenza vaccine in heart failure patients and the benefit of high dose vaccine in improving humoral response provided the rationale for the INVESTED Trial.
Jacob A. Udell, MD, MPH
Canada Co-Principal Investigator
Dr. Udell is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. He is an experienced clinical trialist who has worked with the TIMI Group in Boston prior to returning to Toronto. His meta-analysis of randomized trials with influenza vaccine helped provide the rationale for the INVESTED Trial.
J. Michael Gaziano, MD

Dr. Gaziano is Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Chief of the Gerontology Division at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Director the Massachusetts Veterans Epidemiology Research and Information Center (MAVERIC), and national PI for the Million Veteran Program (MVP).
Scott D. Solomon, MD
Clinical Co-Principal Investigator
Dr. Scott Solomon is the Edward D. Frohlich Distinguished Chair, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital. An experienced clinical trialist in cardiovascular disease, he has lead or been an executive committee member for many international clinical trials. He directs the Clinical Trials Endpoints Center at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Michael Farkouh, MD

Dr. Farkouh is a Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of Cardiology Research and Director of Clinical Trials at the Peter Munk Cardiac Center at the University of Toronto. An experienced clinical trialis, he has led several trials including the NHLBI funded FREEDOM trial.
Helen Keipp Talbot, MD

Dr. Talbot is Assistant Professor of Medicine and an infectious disease and vaccine expert at Vanderbilt University. She played a leadership role in the large clinical trial comparing high-dose influenza vaccine to standard dose in health elderly patients.

Dr. KyungMann Kim is Professor of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is an expert in clinical trials methodology, interim analysis, sequential methods of statistical analysis and categorical data analysis. He is past president of the Society of Clinical Trials.

Dr. Hernandez is a Professor of Medicine at Duke University and Director, Health Services and Outcomes Research, Faculty Associate Director, Duke Clinical Research Institute. He serves as Co-PI of the PCORnet Coordinating Center.
Allison McGeer, MD

Dr. Allison McGeer is a Professor of Laboratory Medicine, Pathobiology, and Public Health Sciences at University of Toronto and the Director of Infection Control at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. She has served on the Canadian National Advisory Committee on Immunization, and the infection control subcommittee of the Ontario Provincial Infectious Diseases Advisory Committee.
